Is it permanent?
As skin cells regenerate and shed Permanent Make-up (PMU) may fade to some degree depending on skin type, age, and lifestyle. Clients who have oily skin, or excessively sweat will typically fade faster. Results and color retention will vary for all. To maintain the brows looking fresh, a touch up is suggested every 8-18 months.
Does it hurt?
Topical numbing agents are used to help keep clients comfortable during the appointment. Everyone reacts to pain differently. I will continue to reassess your pain level throughout the procedure to ensure that discomfort is minimal. Some mild tenderness, redness, and slight swelling after the procedure is normal but resolves quickly.
How long does it take to heal?
Healing time is individual to everyone. The healing process begins immediately after your appointment. It takes about 10-14 days for your brows to complete the initial healing process. After about 6 weeks the full healed effect will show. This is just in time for your perfection appointment!
Why do I need the “perfection appointment”?
Our human body is unique. We all heal and retain pigment differently. This appointment is scheduled 6 weeks out to allow for the healing process to complete. During the perfection appointment we will address areas that may need more pigment. We can go a bit darker, thicker, add more depth. We can perfect and complete your brows!
Risks and complications?
I will take all the proper measures to ensure your safety. My equipment & environment are sterilized before and after each appointment and new needles are used for every client. To prevent infections clients should strictly follow pre and post care instructions. The pigments used during the procedure are high quality pigments. Although, allergic reactions are rare they can happen. Contact me with specific questions.
